Peaceful, refreshing, lovely
Date of Stay October  2015

I was looking for a place to enjoy a surprise getaway with my husband, and this was a perfect choice. (Even he said so!) No doilies, no fluff. Extremely comfortable and beautiful accommodations; great views; scrupulously clean. We enjoyed the quiet and comfort so much. Kind and attentive hosts. A refreshing retreat!

Darling Suite in lovely neighborhooD
Date of Stay October  2015

The Daffodil Suite was a perfect place for us to enjoy the mornings, then take a walk to the downtown, come back for a rest in the afternoon and return again to the darling downtown. We appreciated the owner’s obvious care for their place and enjoyed their interior design choices. The suite is cozy and pleasing to be in.

Fantastic cottage within walking distance to Placerville
Date of Stay September 2015

Great location, quiet yet within walking distance to town. Big room, nice size kitchen and bath. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. Wonderful linens and towels, top quality. Close to Apple Hill for fall activities and Boeger winery, one of our favorite foothill wineries. Walked into town for dinner and had a great meal at Farm Table. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice town and really nice inn.te of Stay
Date of Stay September  2015

Beautiful room that matched the images. Wonderful to wakeup in, comfy bed, nice kitchen, and really nice craftsman style decor/furniture. Perfect size for a couple, and there was a good sized fold up bed in the closet. Kitchen was stocked for coffee needs and cold filtered water pitcher in the fridge. Easy 5 minute walk into town via pedestrian walkway only one block away. So nice not to have to drive into town. Very quiet, you never hear the cars on route 50. Had AC but we didn’t need it, nice cool breeze (room on second floor) and this was during warm days of Labor day weekend. Host sent all the right instructions including map to the pedestrian bridge. And Placerville is a great find. Range of restaurants, numerous antiques and more. A nice, quiet getaway with just enough activity to keep us busy.

Coloma Spring Suites
Date of Stay

May  2015
What a great choice! This apartment was nicely appointed, clean and airy. It was a very nice change from the dingy and more expensive motels in Placerville. So the next time I need a place while visiting family, I will try for this same apartment. Thank you Dana!

A True Gem close to downtown Placerville
Date of Stay April  2015

A gorgeous craftsman style home walking distance from downtown Placerville. Every bit of detail was perfect – from a welcome bottle of wine to plush bedding, towels, a well stocked kitchen with plenty of crockery and cutlery. Loved the outdoor patio area – perfect to enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine.

A Find in the Gold Country
Date of Stay  September 2014

It had been years since we’d visited the Gold Country, so when friends told us about an Inn they’d discovered in Placerville, we decided to take a short break and check it out for ourselves. The Coloma Spring Suites, an Arts & Crafts era home, is situated on a quiet street within walking distance of Old Town Placerville. We were assigned the Daffodil Suite and as soon as I walked in the door, I felt I could happily move right in. The decor was not all frills and frou-frou like so many Inns are, but restful and inviting – plus all the modern conveniences. The queen-size bed was gorgeous, the bathroom came with a hair dryer and toiletries and the fully equipped kitchen had everything one needs to eat at home. Private parking was provided. Tucked away at the back of the house was a secluded patio with chaise longues and a hammock to laze on. We loved being able to walk into the old town and, of course, check out some of the great wineries in the area. We plan to visit again soon.

Weekend Getaway from San Francisco
DATE OF STAY   June 2014

Wendy – We had a great time this weekend. I came down with a cold right before we left, but pushed through it and had fun hiking in the hills above Marshall Gold Discovery Park, playing in the river, grabbing fruit at Hooverville and going berry picking at Patrick’s. Had dinner/drinks last night at Lava Cap, which we will definitely be returning to. The room was fantastic. We will definitely recommend your place to friends looking for a getaway. Best, Scott
